Geraint Thomas, Simon Yates and Adam Yates are Contained at a Powerful Great Britain longlist for the UCI Road World Championships in Yorkshire this Season.

Thomas, winner of the 2018 Tour de France, has set his sights on racing the guys’s elite time trial in 3 months’ time but is also part of their 15-strong longlist for the elite men’s race, where six names will be chosen.
With two point wins collecting for Mitchelton-Scott the Yates twins both raced in the Tour de France, but he is not defending his Vuelta a Espana name this month and neither twin has competed since the Clasica San Sebastian in early August.
The longlist comprises Thomas’ Ineos team-mates Luke Rowe, Owain Doull, Chris Lawless, Tao Geoghegan Hart, Ian Stannard and national champion Ben Swift, with the latter.
The listing also contains Alex Dowsett, Hugh Carthy, Gabz Cullaigh, Adam Blythe, Matthew Holmes, along with Connor Swift.
Hart, Dowsett and thomas are listed for your men’s time trial, and with just 2 to be selected.
In the women’s ranks world champion Lizzie Deignan headlines that a 13-strong longlist for the women’s race.
Reigning winner Alice Barnes is recorded together with Lizzy Banks, in Addition to her husband Hannah, Dani Christmas, Rebecca Durrell, Natalie Grinczer, Anna Henderson, Lizzie Holden, Nikki Juniper, Hayley Simmonds, Sophie Wright and rising star Pfeiffer Georgi.
Six riders will be chosen from the list of hopefuls.
Both Barnes sisters, Holden, Georgi and Simmonds are longlisted for the time trial of its women, together with just two.
The entire world championships take place from September 22.

Return to the WTA Tour at 2020 and kim Clijsters is to make her tennis comeback at age 36.
After winning her first Grand Slam at the US Open, the former world number one initially retired from 2007 to begin a family , two years.
She won two more US Open titles and the Australian Open before her retirement in 2012 and returned in 2009.
“I do not really feel like I would like to prove something. I believe for me it’s the struggle,” Clijsters said.
Talking to this WTA Insider Podcast, she added:”The love for the sport is clearly still there. However, the question still is, am I capable of bringing it to a degree where I would like it to be at and where I need it to be at before I’d like to play at a high level of one of the greatest women’s sports in the world?
“I need to challenge myself and I want to be powerful again. That is my marathon”
Clijsters is currently targeting a return in January, but says she will remain flexible in her scheduling.
As a former world number one, Clijsters is eligible for boundless wildcards at WTA tournaments. She will have to play three championships or make 10 rank points to reestablish a ranking.
“Kim Clijsters ranks among the greats of the sport along with her return to the Tour is exciting news for the WTA household and tennis enthusiasts across the world,” explained WTA chairman Steve Simon.
